Fees and Medicare Rebates
Fees are $190 per session. For clients who have a mental health care plan and a referral from their GP or Psychiatrist, they are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $124.50 per session. The gap payment per session is $65.50 with a mental health care plan and referral.
The cost per session without a mental health care plan is $190. There is no rebate through Medicare without a mental health care plan and referral. You may be able to claim a rebate through your private health insurance if you have a policy that covers psychological treatment.
Payment can be made by cash, credit or debit card. The rebate can be processed at the time of the appointment and put back onto a debit card (card with a cheque or savings account attached).
I will accept DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) as payment upon a GP referral.
Payment can also be made by third parties e.g. insurance companies when you have a workers compensation claim.
Health Fund Rebates
If you choose not to get a mental health care plan you may claim a rebate through your private health insurance if you are covered for psychological treatment. Please check your level of cover to ensure you can claim a rebate for psychological treatment.
